As an early Christmas present Microsoft teamed up with Acer and AMD and have send out free Acer Ferrari 1000 and 5000 series laptops and media centers to some of the main US bloggers.
The idea is to allow the bloggers to have a play with the new Windows Vista platform and if they like hopefully write about it in there blogs,before it goes on public release in late January.
The bloggers that have received them include Brandon LeBlanc, Scott Beale, Mauricio Freitas, Mitch Denny, and Zen.Heavengames.
The gift has received both praise and criticism, with some bloggers saying it is unethical and a bribe. Personally I think its a great idea, If the bloggers don’t want to review the system they don’t have to and are free to return it, sell it or keep it at any time, its up to them!
Just wish they could send some to South Africa, if Microsoft are looking for new customers they wont find them in the US or Europe but in the developing countries of the world.
