Volkswagen, India, recently came up with a novel way to start a conversation, they created the first talking newspaper ad in India. When readers of two of India’s top newspapers namely The Hindu, and The Times of India, opened their newspaper they were greeted by a talking ad for the new VW Vento.
The light-sensitive speaker weighing no more than a mere 10-15 grams was stuck onto the back page of the newspapers attached to a print ad for the new VW Vento. Am not sure of the cost of this exercise (High) but it certainly seems to have generated a lot of online chatter in India around VW, time will tell if it was worth it.
