Google: Music Beta

Google has finally released its new music player currently in BETA and surprisingly called Music Beta. Google Music lets you upload your personal music collection to the cloud and enables you to listen to it anywhere, keeping everything in sync,

The Beta is currently only open to people in the USA. To sign in and request an invite go to http://music.google.com/about/

Below are some of the key features:

  • It will run on all Android devices, including tablets and mobiles
  • You’ll be able to create custom playlists and sync them live between all devises
  • You’ll be able to edit track info, get play counts, and it can auto generate relevant playlists based on a single track selection.
  • Music will be available when you’re offline if you have played it recently or tag it
  • Users can upload and store songs to a cloud-based directory from your music folders or iTunes 
  • Users can wirelessly and automatically sync playlists from the web to connected devices and vice versa
